Durham Children’s Book Festival will take place on Tuesday, 20th and Wednesday 21st August – at Durham Market Place.
Kids will love Durham Children’s Book Festival 2024, which is a free family fun at Durham Market Place.
It’s all about bringing books to life for kids … and giving them great days out in the heart of Durham.
Expect two days of fun book-themed events to encourage youngsters not only to read, but also to write, to create and to illustrate with inspiration for all young people from early years to teens.

Tuesday 20th August
9.30 – 10.30am – Lisa Cryer and Roundabout Rabbits
11am – 12pm – Kylie Dixon and The Wonderful World of Mushroom Marvellous (with special guest Laura Maclennan with Seth and the Rainbow Monsters)
1 – 2pm – Lauren Osborne with It’s OK to be Me
3 – 4pm – Moth Flutterby with Summer Bell Blues
Wednesday 21st August
10 – 11am – Moth Flutterby with Summer Bell Blues
12 – 1pm – Chloe Atkinson with The Shadow Monsters
