About Lebaneat

Lebaneat Durham offers an authentic Lebanese food experience – a delicious taste that is difficult to find. The venue offers traditional Lebanese dishes all cooked with love by the talented team of chefs.

“The Lebanese cuisine is an ancient one and part of the Levantine cuisine. Many dishes in the Lebanese cuisine can be traced back thousands of years to Roman times, and to the roots and origins of the levant and mesapotamia civilizations, that is the Phoenicians. For most of its recent past, Lebanon has been ruled by foreign powers that have influenced the types of food the Lebanese ate. The Ottoman Turks & the French have introduced new dishes and enriched the Lebanese cuisine, such as cooking with lamb and introducing foods such as as flan, a caramel custard dessert, and buttery croissants.”

At Lebaneat Durham, guests can expect delicious dishes such as Lahem Meshwi, chargrilled skewers of tender lamb cubes, served with tahini sauce and grilled vegetables; Chicken Shawarma, served with Lebanese bread; and Moussaka, baked sautéed aubergines with tomatoes, onions, chickpeas and peppers, served with cucumber salad and Lebanese bread.
