About Crush Wine Bar & Shop
Crush Wine Bar & Shop is on Durham’s North Road and has been set up by Daniel Jonberger.
Daniel, who has worked in the wine business for 28 years, through his time at Rockliffe Hall in Darlington and the two Michelin-starred restaurant the Raby Hunt, made the decision to open his own place after conversations with other top names in the world of food and drink in Durham.
The sommelier is a 50 per cent owner of Crush Wine Bar, with Craig Lappin-Smith, who owns Coarse restaurant in Durham City, having the other 50 per cent share.
Crush features wines from all over the world and customers can enjoy wines by the bottle or the glass. The venue also serves up cheese and charcuterie boards, and hosts wine-tasting events. For more information about the events, check out Crush’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
