Easter Activities Durham Cathedral

Durham Cathedral has a range of exciting activities running during the Easter holidays, from Thursday 28 March – Sunday 14 April from 10am – 4pm (Sundays 11am – 4pm).

  • Pick up an activity leaflet from the Visitor Desk to discover puzzles, colouring and learn about Holy Week and Easter
  • Explore blockbuster filming locations, including the Chapter House
  • Refuel in the Undercroft café with a ‘Kids eat free’ offer
  • Let off steam in the woodlands and riverbanks surrounding the cathedral
  • Kids over 8 years old can climb the 325 steps to the top of the Tower

Create your own Peace Dove 

Peace Doves is artwork by Peter Walker, it will be made up of thousands of individually handmade paper doves which will be suspended above the Cathedral’s historic Nave.

From Monday 1 April, stop by the Font to write a message on your own Peace Dove. All are welcome to get involved.
