Take on the historic streets of Durham for a midsummer evening of racing in the Prince Bishops Durham City Run. Two will be two races (a 5K and a 10K) and one unforgettable finish. Durham provides the stunning backdrop to this exciting event that chases through the narrow cobbled streets and along the beautiful River Wear with the imposing 900 year old Cathedral always beckoning. There can hardly be a more spectacular setting for a summer night of racing and fun.
The 5k and 10k races start 20 minutes apart, facing each other across the ancient Market square. 5k runners will set off first at 7.00pm, with the 10k runners following 20 minutes later. Whichever you elect for, you will finish at Millennium Place. All competitors have free access to the Durham City Park and Ride system.
Both the 5k and 10k will be held on July 15th and a family run – and ‘Run Like a Legend Mile – will be held on July 16th.
