What we’re looking forward to after lockdown…

We’re confident that the good times are within reach, and shortly our city will be back to its bustling best. So, to celebrate the roadmap out of lockdown, we’ve picked out a selection of things we’re looking forward to once restrictions are lifted. Check it out…

Return to the big screen!

We’ve been counting down the days until we can hunker down in the plush red seats once again! There’s nothing like a trip out to the flicks, and with James Bond, Venom 2 and A Quiet Place II all expected at some point this year, you can bet we’ll be front and centre at Odeon Luxe Durham!

Durham Outdoor Markets

We’re dreaming about market mooches to kickstart the weekend! In the coming months, we’ll be back diving into a haven of goodies made with love. Get ready to support our beloved indies at Durham Outdoor Markets in 2021!

Coffee catch up!

Never ever shall we take for granted sitting with a friend and chatting over a flat white. Durham is the perfect spot to natter about nothing and kick back with a delicious brew or two, and with a raft of gorgeous cafes and tea rooms dotted about, we’re quite frankly spoilt for choice. Make a date for a cultural coffee crawl when the city opens up!

Gallery gazing…

Ah, to be gazing at incredible artworks, marvelling in museum halls and immersing in our city’s fantastic heritage! Whether you’re checking out the artistic gems at Crushed Chilli Gallery or diving into medieval history at Durham Castle, our city has all of your culture cravings covered this year. Make space for gallery reopenings!
