Durham Markets is bringing Christmas to the Market Hall on Tuesday 26th of November, extending its hours and inviting shoppers to enjoy entertainment, seasonal music, festive treats …. and an evening of shopping.
On Tuesday 26th November, Durham Market Hall, home to 40 independent businesses in the heart of Durham, is holding its first Christmas Shopping Special, from 4.30 until 7pm.
Colin Wilkes, Managing Director of Durham Markets, explained: “We want people to experience Durham’s Market Hall at its festive best. Come in and enjoy Christmas favourites performed by Ashley Stirling and the Chester-le-Street Salvation Army Band, relax with a mince pie and warming punch in Café Cenno and make the most of entertainment for the kids which includes a treasure hunt throughout the day, and LED glow entertainment from 4.30pm!
“If you’re wondering when you’ll select Christmas cards, or order your turkey, or find time for any other Christmas shopping and preparation, then this is the perfect opportunity. The Market Hall is also the place to find unique and niche presents – from jewellery and watches, to vinyls and collectable vintage toys. It’ll be fun and festive, and at the same time you’re supporting local independent businesses!”
Durham Markets is also open every day in December up to Christmas, including Sundays.
