Durham BID welcomes new Business engagement manager

Adam Deathe has been appointed Business Engagement Manager for the Durham Business Improvement District (BID).
Adam will manage the activities of the Durham BID, working closely with businesses in Durham City to maintain and further develop a positive climate within which local and national businesses can work together and thrive.
Adam joins Durham BID from South Tyneside Council where he was a regeneration officer, developing links with a range of businesses including national chains and independent retailers as the council embarked on the delivery of its £100m regeneration programme.
Of his new appointment, Adam said “I am delighted to have joined the Durham BID and become part of a passionate team working to ensure that the BID becomes to be seen as a first port of call for the city’s businesses and galvanise the BID’s supporters, of which we know there are many already.
“Durham has some exciting developments on its doorstep and the BID will endeavour to work closely with both the developers and affected businesses.
“Ultimately, I am determined to ensure that the collective ambition of all stakeholders of the Durham BID is realised; to see Durham benefit from increased economic vitality, attracting further inward investment and greater numbers of returning visitors to our beautiful medieval city.”
